Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or Level 2 within UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science.
A postdoctoral researcher is required to investigate the catabolism of perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS or `forever chemicals') in microorganisms. The project will involve analysis of biodegradation pathways using a variety of analytical tools, and heterologous expression of key enzymes involved. The ideal candidate would have a PhD or postdoctoral experience in xenobiotic biodegradation in microorganisms. Expertise in gene expression and protein purification, and analysis of degradative metabolites using GC, HPLC or similar techniques would be a distinct advantage.
Post Doc Level 1 Salary Scale: 欧元43,908 - 欧元50,302 per annum.
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

The PD2 post is intended for researchers that have completed PD1. As with the PD1, if you have already completed your PD2 stage in UCD or will soon complete a PD2, or your total Postdoctoral experience, inclusive of the duration of the advertised post, would exceed 6 years, you should not apply and should refer to Research Fellow posts instead.
